Giygas

Inside, you'll find some strange tentacles creating a path for you to meet Giygas.

At the end, something awful awaits you.

You may or may not be surprised to find pokey waiting for you.

To avoid any other spoilers for this section we'll leave it at that.

As you enter the battle it's important to note that there are three forms of Giygas that you will have to defeat.

Each form has it's own strategy.

First Form

Focus on Pokey. Give him everything you've got. Do not attack Giygas directly yet.

After some time Pokey will start talking about turning off the Devil's Machine that was containing Giygas.

Second Form

Now with the Devil's Machine off, you will focus directly on Giygas.

Don't try Multi Bottle Rockets anymore, they won't work. Use Jeff's Heavy Bazooka instead if you have it.

Ness use PSI Rockin, Paula use PSI Freeze and Poo use Starstorm.

Giygas will unleash bizarre attacks that can cause all kind of status ailments and even death. Keep healing your party as needed. Eventually Pokey will return.

Third and Final Form

Pokey tells you to call for help if you can. Which gives us a hint as to how to handle the third form. Paula has telepathy and can communicate over great distances.

For this form, make sure Paula uses Pray every time.

Everyone else can focus on healing and making sure Paula does not die.

As Paula prays, friends you've made along the way will start praying also.

Each time you pray a different location is shown where friends hear Paula's call.

You must have Paula Pray 9 times and it will defeat Giygas.

With Giygas defeated, you will find your party laying outside of his lair.

One by one, your spirits will magically find their way back to the future inside of your bodies.
