Happy Happy Village

Blue Blue!

You arrive at Happy Happy Village. Where cows are blue and fresh eggs are free for the taking.

If you talk to the town's folk you'll quickly find that everyone has a screw loose.

There's one lady that will give you a fun postcard if you donate to her efforts to save the world from contaminants. A blue cow who appears to be a cult member. And somebody who is bragging to random people about kidnapping Paul with Pokey's help.

So make sure to take time to talk to all the crazies in town.

You can also take the opportunity to level up on the Insane Cultist in town. They call for help a lot which can give you some pretty big experience points without having to walk around finding more of them.

Back to the Shack

After you're done leveling up and loading up again on items/equipment, go to the tunnel at the northernmost part of town.

You'll find yourself back in Peaceful Rest Valley right where that Shack was from earlier.


Once inside the shack you find Paula who is in a cage.

Talk to her and she'll explain that Mr. Carpenter has the key to free her.

She asks you to go and defeat him. She will also give you one of the most useful items in the game, the Franklin Badge.

Pokey Proxy Fight

When you walk back outside you'll be confronted by Pokey, two Insane Cultists and a crow.

Pokey explains that he's not going to fight you and then runs away.

The battle is pretty easy. Just kill the Cultists first so they don't call for help.

Blue Wave

Back in town go to the Happy Happy Headquarters. It's the big building in the middle.

Walk inside and you'll find an onslaught of cultists just standing there.

Collectively they form a maze for you to get through. There are also a few presents scattered so if you have some inventory space you can try to grab those.

Mr. Carpenter's secretary seems to have some things he needs to bring up to the Human Resources department of Happy Happyism.

Mr. Carpenter ( Battle )

When you talk to Mr. Carpenter he'll ask you if you want to join him. No matter what you choose, he will try to shock you with lightning.

Luckily your Franklin Badge reflects the attack.

He will try to use his Crashing Boom Bang attack but they will always be reflected by the Franklin Badge.

You can make quick work of the battle using PSI Rockin. Otherwise just try to keep your HP up and bash away.

After the battle he'll give you the key to open the jail where Paul is captive.

Freeing Paula

Back at the Shack, you can use the key to open the cell.

If you talk to her before you open it she'll ask you if you're okay.

Paula joins you! Yay!

She will recommend that you should head back to Twoson now.

However, if you haven't already tried to beat the Mondo Mole, you'll want to do that next.
